- Can I set up an appointment to visit your preschool ?
Of course! We would love for you to come and visit us so you have a chance to see what we do and how we do it. We are very proud of our facilities, our fantastic teachers and original curriculum. - What are your ratios for each level ?
We have the following ratios in our schools and they are adhered to throughout the day:
- ■1:31 teacher for every 3 Infant Class (10 students max)
- ■1:51 teacher for every 5 Toddler Class (10 students max)
- ■1:81 teacher for every 8 Junior Preschool (16 students max)
- ■1:81 teacher for every 8 Senior Preschool (16 students max)
- ■1:131 teacher for every 13 Junior Kinder (Clarkson:16 students max / Oakville:24 students max)
- ■1:131 teacher for every 13 Senior Kinder (Clarkson:16 students max / Oakville:24 students max)
- Are there any additional programs available ?
Included in our program are French, PE and Music. Music and PE are offered weekly. Our students also participate in yoga. Taekwondo classes will be taking place at the CFTP studio (for Clarkson) and in the Oakville gyms. Classes are throughout the week for interested students aged 3 years and older.
- Are there any times in the year when you are closed ?
All classes are closed for public, statutory holidays and 2 staff professional Development days in the year. Other schedules may vary slightly according to the child' s year level. We will be closed over the winter holidays in December and January. We close for two parent/teacher interview days and for one week at the end of August for teacher training and to prepare for the new school year.
- Are there scheduled nap times for all age groups ?
Ministry of Education mandate that there must be a scheduled rest period for Toddlers and Preschoolers. If children are unable to sleep, calm music and quiet activities are also provided to help the children to relax.
Our Junior and Senior Kinder classes have a mindfulness hour after lunch where they participate in relaxing activities such as meditation or quiet craft activities.
These set rest/sleep times are part of the daily schedule. - Does Kinder Kids have a uniform ?
We believe school uniforms add to the identity of the school, create a sense of belonging for the students and add to the safety of the school environment.
Our staff also wear uniforms that match the students' uniforms.
Junior Preschoolers wear the Kinder Kids shirts and hats, Senior Preschool, JK and SK wear the full Kinder Kids uniform. - Do you accept children with fee subsidy ?
Kinder Kids accepts children with fee subsidy.
